IEI in the EMERGE Project
The EMERGE project was conceived with the ambition of creating a gamified, interregional acceleration programme grounded in the principles of Open Innovation. Its core objective is to stimulate economic and technological growth across the participating regions by fostering collaboration, knowledge exchange, and innovation-driven development.
Acceleration programmes are structured and intensive initiatives designed to support innovative local actors in scaling their ideas and unlocking their market potential. Typically lasting between three and six months, these programmes provide a comprehensive mix of mentorship, training, resources, and networking opportunities to fast-track business growth.
Within this framework, EMERGE has successfully built a dynamic ecosystem of open innovation, supporting startups, spin-offs, and SMEs across the three territories involved. Through shared resources, capacity-building activities, targeted training, and B2B engagement events, the project has enabled participants to strengthen their competencies, expand their networks, and access new market opportunities.
The IEI – Istituto di Eccellenza Internazionale has actively contributed to the implementation of the EMERGE project, playing a key role in promoting innovation, facilitating collaboration among stakeholders, and supporting the growth of emerging entrepreneurial initiatives. IEI’s involvement reflects its strong commitment to advancing cross-border cooperation and fostering sustainable, innovation-led development.
